Science Evaluation Panel – Australian Representative
Applications are now closed for this opportunity.
ANZIC is calling for an Australian representative for the IODP³ Science Evaluation Panel (SEP) Science subgroup.
The SEP-Science Subgroup members are responsible for:
- evaluating scientific ocean drilling Preliminary Proposals and Full Proposals, including identifying Preliminary Proposals to move forward towards Full Proposals, and declining those proposals unlikely to succeed
- providing feedback to proposal proponents, including advising proponents on potential successful science strategies.
The new IODP³ SEP will meet biannually – in late March/early April and in September each year, with one meeting being held virtually and one in-person (see the SEP Terms of Reference). This call is open to scientists with experience in all relevant research fields, but IODP³ particularly seeks experts in biogeoscience, sedimentology, low-temperature geochemistry and paleoceanography.
You will need to provide a CV and letter of motivation as well as complete the questions in the application form.
