We have been providing funding to scientists from our member institutions for studies of previously-collected cores and samples since 2012. We have funded 125 legacy projects with nearly $2.5M!

This funding has contributed to least 53 peer reviewed publications, 31 Masters and PhD theses, and 9 undergraduate and Honours projects. Findings have been shared in scores of presentations and media articles.

One educational course (G-Plates) has been developed with our funding. It is utilised by universities, the annual ANZIC Geoscience Masterclass, and some high schools.

Our 2024 CORE Legacy Forum also provided a platform for invited speakers to share the results of their AILAF projects with the ANZIC community and beyond.
