Join us to hear what has been discovered by exploring – and re-exploring – sub-seafloor cores and samples, with the help of our AILAF legacy grants!
Celebrate
Celebrate the research achievements of the ANZIC community, explore ongoing endeavours, and chart the course for future discoveries from scientific ocean drilling collections at our one-day ‘CORE Legacy’ ANZIC Forum.
We will spotlight the remarkable accomplishments of the 100+ AILAF/scientific ocean drilling legacy projects funded since 2012, amounting to nearly $2 million in grants.
Learn
Talks will showcase a diverse array of projects that have significantly advanced our understanding of the Earth. A wide spectrum of disciplines from geosciences to data science, mathematics, molecular and genetic analysis, and links to land-based studies will be highlighted.
Collaborate
The Forum provides a unique opportunity to connect with fellow researchers, exchange ideas and forge new collaborations.
The CORE Legacy Forum precedes the 2024 AILAF round of grants, offering attendees the chance to learn from previous projects, collaborate, and develop new projects. A session will be dedicated to workshopping new AILAF ideas or larger legacy projects that align with LEAP or SPARCs (IODP3‘s Scientific Projects using Ocean Drilling Archives) schemes that foster international and interdisciplinary collaborations.
What secrets can your research uncover from the many hundreds of kilometres of already-collected core?
